This experience has shaped my understanding of different cultures and communities. Living among the locals in Egypt, I saw firsthand the importance of community, even in the face of challenges like poverty and limited resources. Unlike the diversity of Malaysia, the Egyptians are able to speak one language, Egyptian Arabic. I had faced many difficulties when I wanted to buy something or meals. The differences in culture mainly in languages barrier was a significant hurdle for me. I often found myself struggling to communicate, relying on hand gestures and a few basic Arabic phrases to make myself understood. Even so, there were moments of confusion and frustration when trying to explain what I wanted or understand what was being said.
